I think it defintiely qualifies as something marvelous, unique, fantastic, exciting, spontaneous, unexpected, surprising, wonderful, and even miraculous....Yes, I said it! Give that woman a giant hug and tell we all said "you go grandma"!

Two pictures of my mom...
by bebu inone was taken about one month ago, near a beach where our family was camping.
my parents boated over to see us, and it was a beautiful day.
i happened to take one of the best photos i've ever seen of my mom: relaxed and confident, smiling with eyes twinkling, enjoying the beautiful day.

If the question posed means whether or not I would become a visiting/active member of another religion (denomination of an established religion, cult, sect, faction, schism, offshoot, etc)then, the answer is obviously NO.
However, I would share conversation with people who appreciated the benefits of practicing good towards others simply because it is positive and causes reciprocation, like "paying it forward". Goodness and kindness practiced towards other humans without pretense, without agenda, without supposition, only for the sake of spreading more good and positive energy and behavior which the planet always needs more and more these days.
I could not participate in a religion ever again or ascribe to a set of teachings/dogma that was created by other humans and that required accepting some authority figure or deity/divine being as an object/person of worship. I just want to try as hard as I can and as often as I can to pay it forward to my fellow humans, without prejudice or requisites. -

Thx a lot FFree!
I am glad someone else loves the smell of female sweat! Would you believe that some of the body's natural scents/odors that are released can actually stimulate desire? I am so turned on by certain female odors, it is incredible. I am literally in a trance when I sense certain female scents. I'll bet I am not the only person, but few might admit it. -

OK. For many years, the whole gammut of issues surrounding cosmetics and its parent industries were sources of huge arguments both in the past and present. I am glad someone finally addressed this topic and offered us a chance to explore viewpoints.
I personally do not enjoy the "adjustments" that chemical cosmetics make to either enhance or change the appearance of a woman or man's face. Basically, no one has light blue eyelids and it is not natural. For me, I prefer the classic au naturale beauty. I think women are beautiful. I love the sight of a woman opening the front door of her home to check her mailbox and her hair is pinned up and messy, and she is wearing either a housecoat, momo, or just sweats and shorts.
I think a woman grocery shopping, doing laundry at a laundrymat, or outside working in the yard is incredibly sexy. I love women on the construction crews with hard hats and vests and gear. I love women police officers and am dying to get restrained by a few! I love women who get dirty, forget to shower, let their hair grow wild and unkempt.
Sometimes, I think it is healthy for people to just let go of some contemporary superficialities and just relax and be natural. I love a woman who is hairy, or a woman who wears nothing but jeans, or a woman who nevers wears underwear (I never do). I love a bohemian, hippie-ish, wild, unpredictable, natural, happy, free-spirited woman.
So, forget the models, forget societal images, forget the media, and just be yourself. If you want to enhance anything, just work out and enhance your physique, or train your brain and increase your intellect, or travel and increase your experiences, or practice an art form and increase your creativity and spirituality. I think natural personal enhancements are far more appealing, far more lasting and far more beneficial than the daily regimen of putting on one's face and removing it at night.
Just my three cents. -

Hi Tetra:
I read the essay and thank you for the link. It was good material and some of it reminded me of "Common Sense" by Paine. It also reminded me of some works written by African Humanist Tai Solarin who died a few years ago. I like this genre of philosophy and it's fun to read. -

Even if the current policy (unwritten or informal) is to simply standby like observers and allow the looting to continue, I worry that it won't take long for a sudden spark to ignite some degree of hysteria.
I would hate to imagine large crowds uncontrollably looting and fighting amongst themselves for the items they need and/or the items they want!
I hope at some point they intend to keep things somewhat orderly and ensure violence doesn't erupt. Imagine a jewelry store or electronics store that are unattended, and then add 10-15, maybe 25-50 desparate and determined people, and let the games begin!
How soon before a military surplus store or hunting/gun shop is raided and looted for handguns, shotguns and rifles? This is Louisianna, which may not ban assault rifles as a southern christian baptist NRA, Bush supporting political environment. It could deteriorate quickly if common sense does not take over. -

One piece of advice is definitely warranted, and that is, "if you need any logical and reasonable information at all about dinosaurs, the very LAST source worth consulting is the WTBS". Just my two cents.

Hi Robdar!
Actually, I am not making a comparison, rather underscoring the danger of an "open environment" sans established and visible order.
Those examples I cited are definitely extreme and I sincerely hope we do not receive any reports at all about activity of that nature. But, the point is basically " while the cat is away, the mice will play" and if someone with less compassion notices that the situation lends itself and the possibility of accountability is almost non-existent, then negative behavior may occur.
I am in favor of some sort of a deterrent which does not harm the many to punish the few and takes into consideration individual cases of humanitarian emergencies. -

Eveything in life requires some sort of a balancing act by nature to alleviate the extremes. Perhaps, some of the looting is in fact genuine and out of necessity to avoid catastrophic conditions and for survival.
Hopefully, the majority of the looting that took place was spurred on by danger. But, as we all know, humans are humans, and we are capable of some very gravalicious behavior during opportunistic times. I am sure many electronics have already disappeared, as well as tools, tobacco, liquor and other normally expensive items.
As far as allowing looting to coninue, I totally disagree since anyone of the looting mindset could also easily rationalize other forms of crime. As an extreme example, since a uniformed law enforcement presence may not be completely visibile at present, what prevents someone with a violent disposition from carrying out violent crime?
What about finally getting revenge on a neighbor you don't like? You could easily drown someone, murder someone, rob someone or even worse, RAPE. What if some young girls/students are trapped by water in a house or apartment somewhere and some devious unscrupulous individuals are aware of it and decide to act against the victims? How will you stop this from happening?
There has to be some degree of law and order. For the sake of the greater good, a deterrent must be in place.
